I'm looking into some 5.1 speakers for my computer—an iMac DV. Is there a point in getting them without also getting a SoundBlaster card (and therefore also a G4)?

I'm hoping there is.

In any case, are there any recommendations for sets of 5.1 speakers? Success or failure stories?
