We got this wierd problem with sound when wathcing BBC. It happned when we leaves Quicktime player in the background after a few hours of live playback. When we switch it back to the foreground, the sound sometimes either not smooth or totally muted (changing volumn won't do). We had to stop and start the stream again. This happen even at 80-100 kbps with little percent loss (zero most of the time)

I happens to me on other sites as well, very annoying to have to stop the feed and restart it just to get the sound back.
