Hi all,
I sure hope someone can help. I'm using XLR8's Interview USB dongle to capture video from my VCR and burn to CD. At this point, I'm exclusively digitizing episodes of TV shows and burning them to CD. I'm using Strata VideoShop for the capture (came with the dongle) and am using the Sorenson 3 codec to compress the video "on the fly" as it captures. I'm using NO audio compression during the capture.
After I have captured the parts of the video (editing out commercials produces 5 clips), I assemble the pieces in QT Pro 5 and then export as a QT movie again with the Sorenson 3 codec and with uLaw 2:1 audio compression.
The problem is that I get an annoying audio latency. It's not toooooo much, maybe a half or quarter second. But it's annoying nonetheless.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to how I can fix this? I'd ideally like to get 40 minutes of video down to about 200-300 meg so I can fit two TV shows to a CD.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Scott
