QT 4.0.3 Disables MoviePlayer 2.5.1?

The Apple site told me to upgrade to Qr 4.0.3 to be able to view it's QTVR Panos so I did. But then my QT MoviePlayer 2.5.1 became disabled. Was this Apple's way of forcing me to purchase the full profesional version of QT 4.3.1? If not, what is the problem?
