Here are some of the new features of QuickTime 4.1 that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

* The pullout drawers at the bottom of the player no longer snap to the nearest full drawer.

* The installer installs a QuickTime Control Strip Module, which lets you quickly access all the QuickTime channels.

* I had an MPEG file that used to crash the old QuickTime Player when played, but the new player plays it fine.

* There is a "QuickTimePlugin.class" file installed, presumably to allow Java applets to use QuickTime?

The Quicktime Settings Control Panel has been updated with version 4.1:

• Kiosk Mode - Hides advanced options from browser
• Streaming Proxy Option has been changed
• All settings that were previously only available from the QT plug-in can now be set in the control panel.

* The installer created an "Internet Plug-ins" folder in System Folder, and placed inside it the files "QuickTime Plugin" and "QuickTimePlugin.class". Hopefully, this indicates a shift towards system-wide support for a common location for Internet plugins.

One small, yet incredibly usefull feature, I think, is the ability to drag and drop onto the QuickTime icon in the control strip. The cool thing is that the control strip automatically figures out if it should open the Quicktime player or the PictureViewer. This saves so much time when you have a generic image or movie. You simply drag that file onto the little icon, and voila!
