When I used to download mpeg's I'd get a message during the download saying "will open with Sparkle" then I changed the preferences option to use quicktime as the helper in Netscape. Now when I download an mpeg it says "saving as a quicktime file" but when I go to open it I get a message saying it can't be open because it is a file that quicktime can't understand. Help!! I also seem to have duplicate quicktime files (when I asked sherlock to find quicktime files I saw duplicates of many quicktime files.

i forget how to fix the Netscape problem because I quit using Netscape about a year or so ago... but the resaon you have duplicate files of QuickTime Mpeg's is that you have one copy on your desktop and one in the browser cache, at least I think so... as I say I have long given up on Netscape.
