QuickTime 4.1 and Window Refresh Problems

Has anyone had the side effect of window refreshes being very slow once they install QuickTime 4.1? I notice it most prominently in the Script Editor. Create two windows, place one partially over the other. Now, bring the back window to the front. Does it take 1-2 secs to decide to repaint the window? This seems to have started when I installed QuickTime 4.1.

It seems to do similarly with Palm Desktop.

Is there a place to d/l the 4.0.3 installer? The MacOS 9 CD doesn't seem to have an independent QuickTime installer, and I want to go back to 4.0.3...

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem but maybe worse... Power Tower Pro, oodles of RAM and QuickNailer, (a very nice image management/viewer application) JPEGs are taking up to 12 seconds to draw or refresh. I boosted memory to everything, rebuilt desktops etc etc, think I've ruled out other culprits here. My 604 isn't THAT slow, is it??

Note: (upon editing...) after removing 4.1, reinstalling 4.03 per instructions in another forum here, I'm concluding the probem is a bad batch of JPEGs... duh. There went an hour.... I'm back with 4.1 now.

I tracked down the problem for me. It wasn't QuickTime 4.1 at all. It was really an old version of OSA Lite Menu. I installed the newest version and my computer and I are back to being friends...
