1. Netscape and quicktime don't seem to work at all. I'm not having any problems with internet explorer, but with netscape i always got an error that said to install quicktime.

2. Downloading - it seems impossible to download the lastest version of quicktime via the update program. Any ideas?

Netscape needs you to go into it's preferences folder to choose it as your media player. The reason the automatic box won't work is because chances are you have the latest version, 4.0, and it's trying to sell you the upgrade for $30 to QT Pro. It's an excellent app by the way. Good luck.
