Hi,

I just installed iTunes Carbon on MacOS X final and I'm getting really bad ripping speeds (never above 0.8 x). Under OS 9.1, I get speeds between 2.5x and 3x on the same machine.

This doesn't happen when converting aiff files from the hard drive to mp3, only when ripping CD's using the internal CD drive.

The machine is a 400 mHz "Summer 2000" iMac DV (no DVD-drive) with 320 mb RAM.

Ideas, anyone?

/al
