I loaded Windows Media Player 7 for Mac just to give it a try today. Well if the sound performance is ok, even better than QuickTime 5, for video, it is not good at all especially for streaming. Many hiccups, desynchronization with sound. The GUI is ugly.
If we could get something like the sound of Win MP and the video of QT 5, it would be perfect.
Strange that on MS site they compare the advantages (they speak extensively of their sound CODEC) of their Media player against Real but not a word on QuickTime.
Unfortunately you must have 3 players to be safe to see eveything on the web: QT, Real and WMP.

i dont know the answer to you question, but can you tell me if the thing is carbonized?
