How do you convert AVI to QuickTime?
I just placed an order for a Canon S110 'Digital Elph' only to realize its movie mode is captured in AVI. Can the movie be converted to QuickTime? Is there any quality loss in doing so?
Otherwise, can you recommend a digital camera similar to the S110 that uses QuickTime?
Tnx!

Maybe I'm answering my own question, but I was just looked at the QuickTime Pro info page, and it says it can Import AVI and export in QuickTime movie format.
So that would be the way to do it, right?
$29.99 isn't too bad, plus I can save downloaded QuickTime movies, plus other stuff, right?

QuickTime Pro is the way to do it. The $29.99 will pay for itself over and over.

I have the PRO edition of Quicktime 4 and now 5. It allows to to do all sorts of things. Even in Pictureviewer you can export great looking and excellent quality JPEG'S. It is cheap at twice the price. Jay Bee

yes, Quicktime Pro takes care of exporting AVI to all kinds of things. I routinely export AVI and MPEG to DV for use in iMovie. Really fantastic (though I wish iMovie supported importing MPEG, AVI, etc.).
