iTunes 2.0.3 has slowed me down

	My audio CD burning in iTunes 2.0.3 only happens at the 2x speed. Previously I had been getting much faster burns. My current setup: OS 9.2.1 QueFire 8x4x32x CDRW Wallstreet Powerbook w/Firewire2Go PC card iTunes preferences set for 6x burning Previously, when I was using OS 8.6, I used the iTunes 1.1 for Mac OS 8 hack for burning, same hardware. How can I get the faster burn speeds I used to enjoy?
