I am usually wrong about these things but my guess is that the availability of iMovie2 will be among the goodies announced at AppleExpo Paris on the 13th. Hang in there.

Brad,
I am with you 150% man!!!!! I was at the Apple Store on 1 Sept. rooting through the bins looking for it too. I have been patient since I bought my DVSE almost a year ago. When they say Sept., they should keep their word. I mean it's OUT there anyway. We are being good boys and girls by queing up to PAY for the daggone thing!!!! Let's go Apple.

I just can't wait anymore since I'm addicted to imovie 1.0 for only 2 weeks.
I hope that apple should get rid of bad reputation of 'DELAY' by any reason. It's so upset to surf for nothing about the offering they promised. It's too long to wait till the end of the month for me anyway!!

I had a chance to play with iMovie 2 at a friends house last weekend. Trust me, it will be worth the wait. It's absolutely awesome!! I especially like the variable slow motion effects and the unlimited shelf. They both work flawlessly. The only gripe I have is with the transistions. They still have a way of shortening the entire video by about a second with each one. that's kind of annoying when your adding video to music. that's it though. Other than that it's a great little program.

I got it over a month ago off a hotline server, and I didn't pay for it.

I notice there are a few bugs with exporting video and the slow motion.

The hue and sharpness adjustment are fantastic.

Apple's iMove2 page no longer states it will be available for downloading in September: http://www.apple.com/imovie/
