Actually I was looking for a way to remotely broadcast MP3's from my ibook to my stereo. less wires and is cooler. I found out how to do it using a device from USRobotics that has a transmitter and receiver.
thanks,

Check out Simplefi from Simple Devices . I saw it in the latest Macworld which has an article about making your home wireless.

You may want to get a FM transmitter, it is very cheap, or you can built one. The sound quality is ok, good enough for most mp3.

The biggest advantage is you can receive mp3 on any radio.

I hook up one w/ my cube via iMic. And I become a undergound radio DJ

That SimpliFi is exactly what I've been wanting for a long time. broadcast the output of my powerbook via airport to my stereo, wirelessly and digitally. Anyone who's used those FM or 2.4 GHz transmitters knows they are completely useless. An airport card with an SPDIF jack, that's what I want.

Check out http://www.akoo.com/ but beware of the Flash animation named "About Kima Wireless Technology" IT IS VERY VERY LOUD!!! Be sure not to have your SoundSticks plugged in...

Akoo has a device that will broadcast the audio out of your computer to a receiver unit near your FM stereo. Macworld says they're $150, but Akoo.com is selling it for $99 right now. http://www.macworld.com/2001/03/buzz/plastic1.html

How's the quality on this thing? is it really high fidelity?

I found running a mini-plug from my computer to my stereo to be less-than-acceptable. I really had to control the volume output to maintain a sound level with little distortion.
