I can capture video and sound ok from my trv-320 sony, but once I begin working with it, the sound seems to stop playing. It shows the audio in the audio timeline but i cannot play it back.

ive never used FCP before, but in premier, it has prefs to where the audio exports to. you might have it set to export audio out on firewire and not the built in speakers! just shuffle thru the pref, u should be able to find it!
