Some AVI won't display video

I have some AVI movies but they will only play the audio but not the video. All I get is a white screen with audio. I tried playing with intel video 5 codec under quicktime and with divx player but both with the same results. Anyone know of a solution or is this another one of those I have to use Windows Media Player under Windows to play them?

There are a couple things that could be at work here. Indeo5 is not backwards compatible with Indeo3 or 4. You need to make sure that you have all 3 in you extensions folder. If that doesn't work, then it's yet another different codec that only supported on windows. It could be the M$ "MPEG4", it could be other things, I don't really know how many there are.
