I can not buy Toast 5 right now. Is there another, cheaper, way to burn VCD?

After several hours of research on the net it seems that TOAST 5 is the cheapest solution to Burn Video CD's. I have made a couple and it is very easy. Almost too easy.
On my G4 it takes about 6 1/2 hrs. to encode one hour MPEG 1.
That is not too bad considering that the same encoding software that other programs offer cost in the hundred's of dollars.
There may be other solutions and options for Windows users but I presume you are looking for Macintosh.
