Quicktime Encode Error Code -9931?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of qt error codes, I'm trying to encode some movies into a toast video cd and everything I've tried using; quicktime player, cleaner and toast 5.1p2 all give me an error -9931 after I pick the file name and the encode bar shows up. This happens with several files.

Anyone have this happen and find a workaround or know where I can look it up?
