I've got the Avid Cinema USB video capture box for USB. The associated program crashes with OS 9.1.

Does anyone know of an alternative software solution that will use the Avid hardware for analog to video capture?

Thanks,

Chad

I'm not familiar with that device per se, but I have a super-cheap USB video capture card from Belkin, that came with Strata VideoShop. The salesman told me that Strata bought Avid's videoshop, and Strata videoshop works with OS 9.1, so you might give it a try.

I'm not particularly pleased with my capture card or strata's software, but at least they work....

You can try BTV. It's pretty small and has fairly regular updates. Just be sure to pay the sharware fee if you're really going to use it, the unregistered version has a limit of 1 frame per second (usually it's 30). BTV Home Page
