My goal is to project praise and worship song lyrics on a screen at church with a video projector along with the music on the PA system using an iBook with Video Mirroring.

I called Apple and they felt that it could be done using Apple Works, iTunes and iMovie with iMovie seeing the word processed page as a "film clip" and then importing the music from iTunes to make one file.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm on hold on the purchase of an iBook until I can be sure that it can be done.

Thanks in advance.

I use iTunes 2 on my Cube.

For the music, iMovie allows users to import music files (could be AIFF or MP3 or WAV). The music is then added to the movie clip, and iMovie allows you to place the music file where you want to. You can drag it around on the sound clip bar (on the bottom of the screen) to place it in the desired location. To test it out, play the movie to see what you have so far, and the music clip should play. However, if the music clip fails to import, or if iMovie does not recognize it to be imported, try using Quicktime Pro to export the file into something different (like a WAV file, for instance).

For the text, it is possible to import text documents, however if you prefer to do it all in iMovie, you can. Go over to the titles bar (the area where sounds, transitions, etc, are) and choose a scroll method. Choose to have it go over a black screen (or any color you wish) and simply adjust the seconds and type the text you want displayed. Add this to the movie, and you can have the text appear and disappear at any intervals you want.

Thanks much Jansar. That gives me hope that I'm on the right track. (No pun)
