I just recently got a cable modem and I'm a little depressed about the lack of any mainstream content out there. I'm not saying that there is no good content out there because there is. I've watched some interesting streams but they have mostly been news, music or radio streams.

I like to watch re-runs on TV occasionally. One of my favorites is Northern Exposure but since I don't have cable TV (I'm only paying for the modem) I can't watch it.

What I want is a website with a list of Television re-runs...the full show not just a clip from a show. I want to be able to choose from a variety of TV shows and within the context of each show I want to be able to watch any show from the entire series.

Now I realize that somewhere advertising has to come into play. I don't mind sitting through advertisements while the show is on just like TV....I'm willing to do that. However, besides the advertising issue there is just no good reason why this doesn't exist. I've searched the web on 'Television re-runs', 're-runs', specific show names that might have a link to such a page and I found nothing.

Does anyone know of such a site? If not can anyone explain to me why this doesn't exist yet?

-Mike
