Does iTunes support the Minidisc format. I need to know before I buy the interface which costs £80( the minidisc recorder/player was only £97!)

what do you mean by support? you can record music in itunes onto a minidisc by just making a playlist, and then plugging your MD into the computer (using either an analog connection, usb to analog interface, or a usb to digital interface) and recording. since the MD is actually recording, and not just transferring files like an mp3 player, you record songs in real time.

i would suggest that when you make a playlist in itunes, you make a short audio file of 2 seconds, and put it between each song in you playlist. that will insure that you will have correct track marks on you minidisc.

i use it to record to mine. you can get away with using a mini jack > mini jack in the line in/optical port. make sure you don't use your mac when you're recording though, or you'll get loads of system noises on your recording
