I thought iPhoto was what I was looking for on the Mac -- I wanted a way to organize my images from my digital camera.

But, IMO the image editing is woefully inadequate for its use as the only program I have -- it only has "redeye removal" and not even any settings like brightness and tint correction. As such, I'm 100% reliant on the original settings on the camera.

Guess I'll stay with my Windoze box which has sufficient software for now Perhaps there will be a revision soon with greater functionality, or an add-on which will allow this?

It doesn't seem to me that iPhoto was intended to be an editor. Perhaps some enhancements will come, but there are other applications out there that will always be better. In any case, I believe iPhoto is an awesome app, especially nice for photo organization and ordering prints.

Also, I agree that GraphicConverter is a good, inexpensive choice for doing what you need to do. Personally, I prefer Photoshop, and use it often in 9.x (for now).
