I love iTunes ... and never had any problems with it. However, after I upgraded my system to 512MB RAM, iTunes does something interesting.
If I start the iTunes visualizer with other applications running, nothing intensive, just IE open in the background, Word open in the background etc ... the visualizer stutters every few seconds consistently (like every 3 seconds). Also, if I have no other applications running, but had run applications prior to starting iTunes, the same thing happens.
If I boot up into 9, and don't launch anything but iTunes, it performs beautifully. I also never has this probelm under OS X.
I have given it about 16000 of RAM, should more ... if I give it more not much change, maybe a longer time span between stutters.
Anyone else have this problem or know a fix???
This never happened on my Pismo with 192MB RAM, and I don;t think it ever happened on my Ti with only the stock 256MB.
All I can think of is the Apple installed 256MB chip is a 3-2-2 and my new one is a 2-2-2 ... but that shouldn't affect this issue, eh?
Thank you for any and all feedback, especially if you too are experiencing the issue.
