Used to burn CDs using Toast 4 and a Sony Spressa CD-RW drive. I've installed iTunes 2 and it used to wk with it w OS 9.1 and the CD-RW drive.

For some reason, now iTunes gives me an unknown error (14337) during "preparing" the CD, stopping at about the 2nd to the last track of the disk. Also, Toast won't recognize the CD-RW drive anymore. Everything's plugged in... iTunes even recognizes the drive and "prepares" the disc and always stops near the end of the disc.

What gives?

Are you still on X? I know toast preview 1 made it so you couldn't burn in iTunes. A simple uninstall did the trick though. If you're still on 9 I'm not sure.

Toast & iTunes don't play well together.

Remove the Toast CD Reader extension & iTunes burns okay.
To use the CD normally, put a disk in, load Taost and select "Mount CD-ROM" under the "Recorder" menu.

You have to reboot to burn under iTunes again. Not generally a problem as you don't burn every time you sit down.

Not pretty but it works.
