I've not done this but I've seen a number of messages about it on various forums.

You should be able to get most of the QT Pro features, including export, by using the MoviePlayer from QT 2.5 with the QT 4 extensions. This should allow you to export a QT movie as a DV stream.

your best bet is old CD-ROMs. check your old software disks, and freebies from magazines you may have laying around. (we all seem to.)

I would like to make the case for buying Quicktime Pro. It's good.
(hey, I'm not a lawyer, so my cases are weak.)

But seriously, it is cheep, and Apple hasn't charged for an upgrade yet. why not just drop them the US $30 and you'll be on your way.

You will find 2.5 on the Info-mac archives.
