Is anyone able to provide me with a URL to download a previous mac version of the napster client? Anything earlier than the present version is fine.

Thanks

Anything earlier than the present version has been disabled by napster.com.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Yes - and I still would like to have one for nostalgic reasons...

So if you happen to have a .sit-file or something else stored somewhere, let me know how I can obtain it.

Sorry, can't help you - I might have some old betas on CD somewhere, but not likely... as for the best client:

I'll second that. Napster is dead. You might search for macster on google, but it won't do you much good.

Aimster is really the best one out there now. http://www.aimster.com/mac/

i want audio galaxy to get their stuff together and make a mac version.
it really is better than anything out there.

i actually used it today, using virtual pc.
and running windows 98 on top of mac os 9.1 with only 64 MB RAM is quite painful.
both on the eyes and the soul.

but still audio galaxy rocks.

and as for old versions of napster, i have the 1.0b1 installer, and also the PR5 and PR5.5 versions of macster, back before napster was napster and macster was napster.
dont know why you want them anyway.
