How can I switch a Divx .mov back to .avi so It will play on a PC? There has got to be a way...right?

I've been keeping my eye out for this solution, but I don't think it exists yet. However, WMP can read the .mov format. I tried with a few of my files, and apparently windows users with divx installed can play the audio in quicktime and the video in WMP (make them suffer through the kind of crap we had 2 years ago). Also, you might want to check out this discussion at divx.com for a tool that makes .avi files that everyone can play. and let us know how it works if you do that

Not the answer I was looking for...Damn. Nice link though. Definately going to go the avi2avi route in the future. I'll let you know how it works out.
Thanks much

well, I tried that program on the xXx trailer at divx.com. the program threw a null pointer exception in OS X and in classic, but completed the process in OS 9 proper. Of course, my roommate couldn't play the file on Windows ME. So I guess I'll wait for the 1.0 release...

Anyone else, please post your results here (and in the divx.com thread, so the developer can actually fix these bugs)
