I am looking for suggestions as to the best MP3 software. My machine is a G4/450 AGP, OS 9.04 and for audio software I am running SoundJam MP Free and Toast OEM 4.1.2.
Features that are important to me (besides sound quality) are the speed of the ripping (I want to rip all 300+ of my CDs eventually), the ability to have the MP3 files put in artist and album subfolders in the original album order (I'm somewhat anal about organization) and a connection to CDDB (or an equivalent) to get track names (I hate typing).
I have tried iTunes and I have a conflict that prevents it from running (or freezes my machine). I'm too lazy to troubleshoot it now (from what I hear my UMAX scanner is probably responsible), though if enough people say it's the best I'll go the trouble of fixing things. I've also heard promising things about Toast 5, though I may get that any way for burning CDs.
Thanks (in advance) for your help.
