iMovie 2 extras?

Hi,

I've just started using iMovie 2 and I love it! However I am already noticing it is a limited program. Since I don't have $1000 lying around for Final Cut Pro, I was wondering if there were 3rd party utilites or other extras that were downloadable and inexpensive (or free...free is good too) that would give me a few more option with iMovie 2.
