iMovie and MOTU 2408 Audio system

After installing and MOTU 2408 hard disc recording system, everything works just fine through the PCI audio interface....

Except, iMovie chokes when playing back imported audio files. The audio sounds fine through the built in headphone/audio output, but chokes through the MOTU PCI audio interface.

Anyone experience this problem before?
