I've downloaded a .bin file that is used to make a svcd but my dvd player doesn't play svcd's. It does play videocd however so what I want to do is convert the .bin file to a mpeg1 format and then use toast to burn it. Can anyone help me with a link or information on how to convert a svcd .bin file to a mpeg1 file?

See your neighbour's thread. Oh, and the .bin file you'll have to send to StuffIt Expander first, of course.

You can burn xvcds and svcds with toast - I've done several. Use vcdXbuild in vcdtoolsX package. link

Don't use stuffit expander. The .bin file is almost certainly a disk image that you can burn with nero, fireburner, CDRwin, etc. If you have access to a PC, you can extract the mpeg-2 file with VCDgear and convert it to a VCD with TMPGEnc.
