Hope someone our there can help me out.
I am designing an art installation related to photography. This is also related webcams, I imagine.
The premise is that visitors can take pictures or portraits of their subjects and have their images displayed on various screens throughout the exhibit.
A web server will be used to queue up the images.
I am planning to take input from a video source (dressed up is some sort of faux "view camera" chassis). The video input will be connected to a Macintosh.
Does anyone know of software that will display/mirror the input of the video camera? I would like to provide a way for the visitors to compose their shots-- hence they need a viewing device, probably some sort of LCD monitor from the same computer that the video camera is attached to.
I've found various applications that display the video input (Apple's Video Player, for one), but none that are simple and unadorned. I need something that will display at say, 640 X 480 with no application windows or buttons or anything like that-- simply the full-screen video image or the image against a black background. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
