I need to get video footage from an analogue camera onto my dual USB iBook (for editing with iMovie), and I am unsure how to do this as it has no video inputs. I assume I need some kind of USB or Firewire device to plug the camera into, but I don't know what.
Can anyone suggest a cheap and easy way to do this?
Thanks, Paco.

I just got a Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge today........not very cheap really...I paid $250. for it, but it is very easy to use and so far I'm very impressed.

It connects thru firewire and you can use a VCR, analog camera and DVD player to load your stuff in. There is nothing to load, you open imovie, plug in the bridge and you're off!!
my macs: quicksilver dual 800 g4, 1.24 gig ram, 500 gig hd, 20 + 17 inch displays

I have one of those as well, but thus far video captured has been very dark...are you having this problem as well? The problem seems to be limited to video with lots of shadows and other dark spots. Well-lit video looks fine. I'm trying to figure out it I have a dum dazzle unit or not...

Cheers

I have heard taht the dazzle makes it look dark, but after experting it to the vcr/camera again it looks normal and good, although I have never personally seen this.

P.D.
