hi.
i lent my friend my powerbook g3 w/ firewire to edit video from his canon zr30. we installed final cut pro 2 and didn't change any setting but the preview is disabled in log and capture and we are not able to capture. Device control works as FCP will play and rewind the camera but the data doesn't seem to register in FCP: there is no sound and no video.
Frustrated, i went home and just to see, i freshly installed FCP 2 on my B+W tower with g4 upgrade card and again, didn't change any settings and it worked fine! The difference between the setups is powerbook g3 vs. b+w g4 and his zr30 vs. my zr25.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm totally going crazy!
