Has anyone successfully used the Panasonic NV-EX3 DVcamcorder with imovie? I am considering upgrading my imac so I can edit my footage, but I want to be sure it'll work.

Does it have FW?
I have a Panasonic PV-DV400-K, it works w/ iMovie.

Thanks for the info. I don't know what FW stands for.

I am beginning to wonder if Panasonic used different model numbers in the States - no-one ever seems to refer to the NV-EX3, even though it was the smallest camcorder available when I bought it - surely more people than just me bought one?

I've just realised you meant Firewire - yes, it has firewire video out, and I have hacked it to give firewire in (European DV camcorders often have DV-in electronically disabled to avoid paying VCR tax).

Basically I want to be sure my NV-EX3 will work with imovie and the new imacs before I upgrade my Rev B imac (which is otherwise fine).
