OK, so I taped a TV show (if you must know, it was Good Eats) directly onto my Sony DCR-TRV103 and then imported it into iMovie 2.03 with the intention of removing the commercials and exporting the show back to the tape, and then recording the edited copy onto a fresh VHS tape.

iMacDV 400 192mb RAM, 10gb Maxtor HD (fresh HD, btw...just replaced by the shop two weeks ago), MacOS 9.1, something like 8gb free on the drive. I have all the latest system updates.

Importing worked like a charm, not a hitch. Soon I had four DV streams which I laid out in order, and then exported to the camera. Still, no apparent hitches. When I played back the exported video, there were...bumps in the audio. I don't know of any other way to describe it. Every couple of seconds, there's an audible thump/pop in the audio.

Any thoughts?
