My SO has a minidisc recorder and wants to transfer the minidisc files to my G4 (Dual gig). Her minidisc recorder doesn't have any output other than the headphone outputs. I suggested using a cable from that output into an iMic. However, she wants to transfer the actual MiniDisc data to the Mac. What kind of hardware do I need to accomplish this?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

MD is its own special format.
why would you want to transfer that to your machine? i'm not sure there is a program that would even be able to play it (altho i've never tried anything of that sort with mine).

as you said, you can just hook up the headphone to the line in on your mac and record everything as an AIFF. then you can compress it into whatever format you wish.
