I just bought a Rio 600. It doesn't show up in iTunes as a source however. When I go to the Apple System Profiler it sees the Rio connected to the USB. All the drivers are there for the Rio. What's going on? I think it might be some sort of extension conflict. Has anyone seen this problem?

From MacFixIt:

iTunes and Kensington conflict Erik Barzeski found that Kensington's software (version 5.5 used with a Kensington Optical Pro mouse) "rendered my Rio 500 with iTunes and SoundJam useless. It doesn't work. Disabling all Kensington software allows iTunes and SoundJam to work. The Kensington mouse, regardless of where it's plugged in, causes the Rio 500 to not show up in either iTunes or SoundJam."
Also see this thread in the Multimedia forum, which is where I'm transferring this thread right now...

Not necessarily true:

I have a Rio 600, iTunes, and a Kensington Optical Pro mouse--with the latest Mouseworks software--and 9.1, and I have no problems.

I can only recommend that you make sure that you have two plugins, first, the USB plugin titled "USBRioDriver" in your Extensions Folder, and "Rio600 Plugin" in the Plug-ins evice Plug-ins Folder of iTunes.

Good luck.
