Having a bit of a problem here. I'm using QT Pro to break a long movie compressed with Sorenson 3 into smaller movies. I've been opening the full-lenght movie, selecting the chunk of video that I need, hitting command-c to copy, hitting command-n to open a new player window, then hitting command-v to paste in the video. I wrap it all up by saving the new chunk of video as a self-contained movie.
The problem is that about 50% of the time I try and copy the video, QT unexpectedly quits - granted, it's not taking down the whole computer (thank god for OS X), but it's not helping my workflow much. I've also tried using the Copy function from the Edit menu, but get the same results. I have copied the QT Player app from another OS X install, re-installed Sorenson Video Pro 3.1, updated QT and there have been no changes. I've also trashed the prefs file and re-entered the reg code for QT Pro. Any one have any other suggestions? Please help.
