So I have some stuff on CD-R. mainly copies of CD's that I own, so its not a huge issue, but I would like to protect any data I put on CD.

I was using Memorex 80mins for a while - the ones with the white label. Anyway, I have noticed, that if the TOP of the CD gets scratched, the label comes off, which is where the aluminum shiny stuff is affixed too, ruining the CD. I then looked at some other CD's I have (Memorex black and imation) and they all seem to have this same potential problem. Is there any CD-R brand that protects against this (as in the foil isn't just attached to the top of the cd)? If not, is there any brand which is more durable?

Don't get the white label Memorex CD's - I have had several of these that have done this, and they are the only ones that do...
