How do I compress lots of big movie files quickly?

Is there an easy way to compress lots of movies in one go, perhaps with iMovie or some other software? I have around 20 movies recorded with formac studio, each around 800mb. I am looking for some sort of batch processing method. Any help appreactiated!

I'm not sure, but I think Final cut pro has batch processing capabilities.

the compressing part is still going to be largely processor and system dependent. if you have a dual GHz machine, it'll churn through the work much faster than a 550 MHz tibook.
