Problem is, avi's are often different.
AVI isn't really a format, its a wrapper file, and within that, there is audio and video, compressed with certain codecs.
You need those codecs to view an AVI.
Say the AVI is compressed with... mp3 for sound, and divx for movie - you need codecs for those two formats to view that avi.
But, that won't mean you can watch an avi that has different codecs used...
Know what I mean?
First of all, download all of the Indeo codecs from Apple.
Go to
http://asu.info.apple.com and search for "Indeo" or "intel".
Install those for starters... see if that works.
I also recommend you use Mac DivX player for avi's -
http://mac.divx.st.
That requires Windows Media Player 6.3 for Mac to work...
