Hello,
I've just noticed that all of my music that I've ripped from CDs using iTunes (and SoundJam as well) have a weird looking string in the comment field of the ID3 tag. I only noticed this because I took a bunch of music off my iBook and placed it on my work machine for at work listening.
Does anyone know what this is? It almost appears as it could be a unique identifier of some sort...
Here's an example of one -- this one is from SoundJam:
0A10EE12+4336+18+150+2042+21872+52170+52975+70057+ 74072+95857+117195+133582+156842+180910+185545+208 067+227175+248792+277132+301300
and here's one from iTunes:
A60A960D+2712+13+182+12262+28217+46107+58452+77167 +97980+112652+130482+143362+152105+173820+183620
I have two machines that I encode with, and so far, it looks as I only have two different comments... so it really does look like a unique machine identifier of some sort... anyone have any ideas?
