Hey folks,
I just got my CD from the duplication people. If you like acoustic singer/songwriter music with a county/folk tinge to it, check it out. Http://www.hillbillywinos.com
Everything was done by us. I recoded and mixed everything (and am the percussionist/drummer) A lot of work was done on my iBook 500. The songwriter/singer also did ALL the art work. His friend did all the album layout graphic work (on a mac too I might add)
All the songs on the web site are partial MP3s except the first one.
Let me know what you guys think
Things are starting to move very quickly!!!!!
I already posted this on the lounge so if this needs to be deleted, please feel free.
Support the artist, not the record company

Space Freak, how did you find this thread, its 3 months old????
Anyway, I used a Roland VS880EX to do all the real work on, then improted it into Bias Peak for some mastering, then off to Disc Makers for some real mastering.'
Hope you like it
Kent

I had seen an earlier post, then I searched this forum for "hillbillywinos".
I have the old VS880 Vxpanded. It's good to see they're still being used well.
I am making the move to Multitracking on my G4, and have been doing a ton of research.
Thanks for the reply.

I'd love to move to all computer recording but its a big expensive step right now. I love the portability and rock solid performace of the Roland. Its a great system. I would like to use it in tandum with Protools. Record then import.
The 880EX is still an amazing little unit. I almost dont want a bigger 1824! To much of a pain to move around. (ok who am I kidding? I want one!)

Great sound. I just ordered your CD. Didn't Willy Nelson record the Poncho and Lefty song? You guys wrote that? How cool!

thanks Zeke!!
I hope you enjoy the disc. Willie did record it with Mere Haggard but it was written by Towns Van Zant. That would be amazing to have Willie do one of our songs! We are actually giving him a disc (though his personal bus driver) in October so maybe he'll like it!
I get it right out to you. Thanks!
