I wandered into the bookstore at the local university the other day. I played around with the Ti they had on display. I glanced at their tech book selection. I walked over to their fairly extensive mac software section. I saw copies of Final Cut Pro 2. One was the update, one was the full version.

Update - $110
Full - $260

That's a pretty hefty discount from $999
So I suggest that if anyone wants to "upgrade" to a legit copy of Final Cut, a university is certainly the place to get that done. You'll need a student ID or a college friend you trust, to make the buy.

Just thought I'd share that deal.
