I hooked up my new dual G4, which happened to arrive at the same time as FedEx dropped off iDVD2. Yes, even though my machine was assembled after the announcement, it came with the older version ONLY. Apple charged me anyway for the iDVD2 upgrade disk.
All I can say is that I am very impressed. Considering I come from Win2K, OHCI Firewire cards and Premiere 6.0. Even more impressed on how the clips eat up available drivespace.
I cranked out my first DVD today of baby pics and videos, and it was really great looking for a first attempt, they played on my Toshiba 2200 and 2300 players without problems. Are there any recent model players iDVD2 has problems with? The list on Apple's website seems rather thin on DVD models. Or are there certain brands that are generally OK? Brands to stay away from? Any other DVD-R media aside from the Apple-supplied discs that work?
(Yes, I know that Apple's discs are pretty much the cheapest).
