what is good software to record from my macs mic?

i am doing a group project which is going to be recorded on my computer in 4 or 5 parts. is there any good software to use (classic or X doesnt matter to me) that i can record and combine these tracks? i am going to be burning them to an audio cd when its all said and done.

i have quicktime pro, can it do this?

Use Coaster to record, QuickTime pro to cut, and Toast to burn.
