How can I import an Mp3 into FCP?? when I do it is all skippy, poppy sounding, cuts out all over the place, its hard to explain. I went to 2pop, I got directions on how, but the directions are imposible. I have to convert the Mp3 into an AIFF, through QT. The directions said to convert it through exporting it, but there is no export function on my QT player. Do I need QT pro to do this?? What is the problem??, Is there some other way??? any help would be much appreciated!!! Thank you!!!!!
P.S. In imovie it is easy to import Mp3's, and they play just fine, and it was free, then I upgrade $1000's worth only to find that I cant do something that I could previously do free, whats with that?? Is it because of the 2 audio tracs??
A G4, what coulf be
better!!??

Use SoundApp to convert your MP3 to an AIFF. It's very very easy.

I haven't tried importing an MP3 into Final Cut Pro quite yet, so I can't comment on that. Is your computer slow? HD horribly fragmented? Perhaps FCP won't play it smoothly until you fully render everything (much like titles).

G4, use Quicktime to export the Mp3 to AIFF format. Make sure that the audio the sampling rate of the audio is the same as your sequence. If the sequence is set for 48k make sure the audio is set for the same. This could be the reason why your audio is popping and cuting out when ever the hell it feels like it.

Nice that apple charges $1k for a program yet is too cheap to convert sampling rates, which it could just tap into QT to do!

The application is only v1.2.5 jesus give apple a break. They have done a great job with FCPand you better believe it that more improved and new features are on their way.
