I have to say that I am very impressed with iTunes !!!

As I am writing this using IE5, iTunes is rupping a track from a CD and writing a completly different CD on my external drive.

All at the same time, now does Toast do that !!!! No WAY.

OK! Agreed.

So the combination of iTunes and Disk Burner is great.
I have just had so many 'coasters' from Toast, even with the latest version, latest drivers, min extentions, etc, etc.

I just glad to find something that works, and lets me work at the same time.

If only Disc Burner would let you make a copy of a CD without having to RIP it first, it would be the perfect solution. Maybe in a later release.

once i got that "burning speed" thing under control in toast i havent made a coaster since. i have an external USB drive thats supposed to burn at 4x. that never works, id get lots of "buffer underrun" errors, basically the USB cable couldnt get the info to the drive fast enough. so i burn everything at 2x. no big deal, it just takes a bit longer.

I had the same problem when I first got my USB Iomega burner. Changing my RAM buffer in Toast to 4 megs (I believe) fixed that. I can't have guests over anymore. No place to put their glasses anymore.

I wanna get a faster drive now. What's good and cheap (inexpensive)?

iTunes is great - I set it up on my secondary G3 and let the full screen light show go!

This is a great peice software. I bet Microsoft is actually jealous on this one.
